Employees Say Most Mental Health Concerns Stem From Workplace Anxiety

Over half of employees nationwide cite feeling anxious, stressed, and having problems when falling asleep this year, according to research from Calm Business in their annual study of mental health trends.  

In their poll, the wellness solution company found work, personal health, family member illnesses, and the loss of a loved one to be the primary cause of their search for support—42% of participants put work as their main reason, making it the leading cause of mental health stress.  

Employees suggest wellness stipends, PTO days, technology-based remedies for stress and sleep problems, and managers trained in mindfulness and empathetic leadership practices should be implemented to help.
