M Score Information

What is a “M Score”?

A “M Score” is a quantitative rating of each brokerage, from an employer’s perspective, to gauge the amount of business experience an individual brokerage has. The goal is to help employers find brokers with expertise in their product offering needs, size company and in their industry. A knowledge base in those areas allows a broker to better create benefit design and P&C type products to fit a specific client. We use public and private datasets to understand a brokerage's experience and use this to generate the score. A brokerage can edit their profile to add information that we may not have available. That information will then be factored into the score, for example if a brokerage has experience in a certain sector but we do not have record of it, and it is added to the profile, the score we will recalculate. It takes usually about 7-10 days for the updated score to be reflected. Note, we reserve the right to audit any fields that are self reported. If the audit fails, your account will be suspended.

How can I increase my score?

Your score is a reflection of past experience based on the information we have available, but at times the information can be dated. We encourage you to go onto the platform and claim your profile. Once claimed, please add any expertise that may not be shown initially. This will update your score. You cannot "pay" to increase your score. The M Score is an independent rating. Featured Brokerages are shown on the home page and in the top section of the search results, those are the only benefits.
